E-Boat SPECTRE Autopilot
Control System Which Integrates With Survey Software (Hydromagic, EIVA, Hypack and QPS)
The E-Boat SPECTRE Autopilot has been incorporated into numerous small electrically propelled vessels, such as the CEE-Hydrosystem USV (pictured), converting their use from crewed to uncrewed. Integration with survey software, such as Hydromagic, EIVA, Hypack and QPS ensures the survey line following accuracy is maintained and allows the user to focus on the quality of the data rather than controlling the vessel, saving time and increasing the quality of the data collection.

E- Boat SPECTRE
E-Boat Module is a small module (measuring 170 x 120 x 55 mm, 0.5 kg) which easily fits into a small electric USV-propelled boat.
E-Boat SPECTRE – the Platform Control System module includes:
- The MicroSPECTRE autopilot module
- Standard PWM inputs from the basic handset
- PWM outputs to thrusters and steering servo
- A radio modem, selectable between 450MHz (licence free in UK), 800MHz or 2.4GHz.
- Ability to be controlled from a laptop, allowing control of way-points and real-time display of position and data on a plan view, superimposed on a chart or Geotiff.
The radio modem options include 450 MHz, with a range of up to 5 miles (line of sight), and up to 2.4GHz, which offers up to 400 metres of line of sight.
Optional features include an onboard datalogger, which will store a MicroSD card, up to 32GB of GPS, heading, altitude and sensor data as raw input and as a CSV file.
The additional Software Module – Survey Package Module (Spectre SPM module) - now included in the standard E-Boat Spectre Module
Undertaking a survey, either of a lake or open water is a challenging and expensive activity involving vehicle management, safety, date collection and vehicle control. Dynautics' Spectre Survey Package Module (SPM) allows the user to focus on the data collection with confidence that the vehicle is navigating the automatically generated survey grid. The integration of the survey grid and vehicle control means the survey is quicker, less arduous for the user, and less expensive to execute plus, importantly, the data collected is of a higher quality.
