Pentax GN7 series GNSS receivers
The Pentax GN7 series encompasses the G7N and the G7H models. Both have powerful GNSS engines with tough, compact and lightweight bodies, versatile communication and data-transferring options and various support functions. They are durable, with a 2-meter drop resistance and housing that offers dust and water protection according to IP67. They are compact (102 x 131mm) and lightweight (1.25kg) due to their magnesium alloy housing.
Description
The magnesium alloy housing also offers excellent thermal conduction. The heat generated by electric components inside the receiver is radiated to the outside. The operating temperature for both models is between -30°C and + 65°C.
Both are equipped with a calibration-free IMU sensor that compensates for any tilting of the receiver and wifi for direct communication with a web browser for downloading data, firmware upgrades and communication between receiver and controller. Users receive real-time information on the receiver status through LED signals and voice messages. The simple bright LED signals provide higher visibility from a larger distance than an LCD display.
The G7N model has a channel configuration for 555 channels and the G7H for 800 channels. The battery running time of the G7N is slightly longer: approximately 13 hours, versus approximately 12 hours for the G7H. A cable for an external power source is optional. Standard accessories include two Li-on rechargeable battery packs, a battery charger and AC adapter and a Lemo 7-pin communication cable.
