CuScan T1
Side Scan Sonar
CuScan T1 is an ultra-high resolution side sweep sonar, which has been widely used in seabed geomorphic survey, ocean engineering, maritime rescue, and other fields.
Description
CuScan T1’s has a 500 kHz working frequency, 0.4° beam width along trajectory direction and a 150m maximum detection distance. It’s s also embedded with satellite positioning sensors and attitude meters to guarantee seabed target positioning accuracy which is a must for shallow water search and rescue.
CuScan T1 has two major units, tow fish and SIM (system interface module). On both sides of the tow fish, transducers are installed, tilted downward for 20°. The system interface module has multiple input and output interfaces to connect the tow fish, computing unit and positioning antenna.
The display-control software (CuSideScan) in CuScan T1 supports a user-friendly and man-machine interactive working interface to facilitate quick sonar parameters setting, sonar image views and reading of sea floor distance and information gathered by other sensors. It supports also simultaneous data saving.
Data transmission and commands execution between the tow fish and SIM are completed on Ethernet while the SIM provides 24V DC power to the tow fish. The tow fish receives control commands from SIM, transmits acoustic wave, receives echo, preprocess acoustic data and sends the acoustic data and attitude sensor data back to SIM for the embedded CuSideScan to further process, display and save.
