Sonar Bathyswath-2-STD 117kHz
Shallow survey efficiency & quality for commercial, scientific & military needs
Bathyswath 2 is the standard version of our bathymetric systems, in use since 2015. It gives excellent performance and reliability in a small, low-power package. It can be used at any frequency from 100 to 500 kHz. The Bathyswath-2 STD 117kHz package is used on a deck or inside the cabin, connected to the transducers, using extension cables, and to the computer & ancillary equipment using a Spider Cable.
Description
Bathyswath 2 is the standard version of our bathymetric systems, in use since 2015. It gives excellent performance and reliability in a small, low-power package. It can be used at any frequency from 100 to 500 kHz.
Bathyswath-2-STD system is our standard version, it consists of :
- The Deck Unit (DU) in painted and anodized aluminum. It is IP66 and includes the sounder electronics for 1, 2 or 3 transducers
- One, two or three transducers (117, 234 or 468 kHz choice)
- One, two or three cable extensions for the transducers (5, 10, 15 or 20m standard, more on request)
- The big V-bracket is a necessary option for 117 kHz transducers or if you want to install, underwater between the transducers, a motion sensor and/or a sound velocity sensor)
To complete the bathymetric "package", you will also need the following ancillary devices :
- A GNSS receiver
- Double antenna for the heading value and PPS for the GPS time
- RTK (Rover) or satellite correction services (Omnistar, Atlas, etc.) or GSM for centimetric position
- A sound velocity profiler and ideally, a sound velocity sensor near the transducers
- A motion sensor for heave, pitch and roll
The Bathyswath-2 STD 117kHz package is used on deck or inside the cabin, connected to the transducers, using extension cables, and to the computer & ancillary equipment using a Spider Cable.
This package also include : watertight to IP66 and contains Transducer Electronics Module, power supply & cooling fan.
Bathyswath-2 STD is part of the company ITER Systems : the world's most experienced team of developers of interferometric sonars. Its products are direct descendants of the world’s first commercially available interferometric swath sonar system, developed into SWATHplus, which renamed Bathyswath in 2013. Bathyswath 2 is a completely new design, with improved performance and usability.
