WaveFusion Sensor for Offshore Wind Industry
The WaveFusion from Miros has been designed with the offshore wind industry in in mind. The sensor combines downward-looking measurements with directional measurements taken approximately 200 metres away from the turbine to measure all waves between 1 to 30+ seconds. It offers a wider coverage of sea state insights for high-demand users in all-weather critical maritime operations, including shallow waters.

Description
The sensor collects data in real-time next to the structure and, through the dual-footprint pulse Doppler, further away. Combining the footprints allows for a better understanding of the sea state, not impacted by the shadow effect created by the structure. Complemented with smart algorithms, this results in new levels of data performance, reliability and redundancy 24/7 and not impacted by rain or precipitation.
Remote Monitoring
WaveFusion data can be remotely monitored from one single portal with the complimentary Miros Cloud subscription. All data processing takes place inside the sensor, eliminating the need for other servers. The sensor is Power Over Ethernet enabled for lower infrastructure costs and reduced e-waste. The data can be accessed from anywhere via Miros Cloud to reduce unnecessary offshore trips for data access. The sensor is easy to install with a bracket mount to the handrail or wall.
