Description

The Porpoise is a passive acoustic recorder (PAM) that offers single channel 24 Bit recording. Depth-rated up to 2000m, it has a multitude of applications including ambient noise monitoring and characterisation, construction monitoring, and marine mammal research. The Porpoise can be deployed for 48 hours using internal power, or over several years in its large battery pack configuration.

Real-time configuration, analysis, and visualisation software (TRAC) is supplied with every Porpoise. TRAC allows users to easily setup their instrument parameters including enabled channels, sampling rates, channel gain, and recording schedules. Additionally, TRAC provides a real time portal to the user’s instrument, digital multichannel acoustic data is presented as real time spectrograms, third octave plots with percentiles, and live real time audio
