Description
Fibre Optic Current Transducer
Optical current sensors offer more accuracy and bandwidth over a wide dynamic range than conventional current transformers. Optical current sensors that employ the Faraday effect contain no magnetic materials and are therefore not subject to saturation and hysteresis effects. According to the requirements of customers, we can customize various types of optical fibre, various lengths of optical fibre, various sizes and structures of the skeleton and frameless optical fibre delay ring, which has excellent customization ability. The produced optical fibre delay ring has the characteristics of normal temperature attenuation and low crosstalk, superior full temperature performance, high reliability and easy assembly.
Application
● Intelligent substation
Characteristics
● Stable PER over temperature
● Increased ratio stability
● Minimized stress-induced linear birefringence
Customized Information
● Customized size, length and performance according to customer requirements;
● Provide the solution of glueing coil in the structure;
● Provide the solution for assembling the gyro optical path.
FAQ
Q: What is the fibre length tolerance of the compact time-delay coils?
A: Fiber length is typically tested by OTDR. The length tolerance is ±2m for coil length up to about 4000m. Tighter tolerances may be possible for shorter coils. Contact General Photonics for more information.
Production Flow
Equipment & Production Field
We have more than 70 sets of fibre coil winding equipment, which can meet the mass production of various types and precision optical fibre rings. We can produce about 20000 pcs optical fibre coils every year.
