3DM-GV7-INS

Tactical Grade Ruggedized Inertial Navigation System

The 3DM-GV7 offers tactical grade inertial performance in a miniature ruggedized package. Ready for the harshest environments, the 3DM-GV7 features a precision-machined aluminum enclosure and is tested to an IP68 rating.

Description

All models in the 3DM-GV7 series feature cutting-edge orientation algorithms, advanced internal time management, and a flexible event triggering system. The INS model adds external position, velocity, and heading inputs as well as NMEA compatibility.

Key Features of the INS Model:

  1. External Position, Velocity, Heading Inputs: The INS model can improve the position, velocity, and attitude estimate by using external inputs from GNSS receivers.

  2. Industry-Standard NMEA Input Over AUX Port: The INS model simplifies GNSS input by providing a configurable AUX port on any of the 4 GPIO ports.

  3. Defense-Ready: The INS model accepts encrypted GNSS receivers (SAASM or MCode) to improve the reliability of the Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solution during jamming and spoofing events.

  4. Filter Body Frame Constraints: The INS model improves position accuracy for known dynamics.

  5. Vehicle Frame Velocity I/O: The INS model allows users to input measurements in a non-global frame, enabling sensors like radar and vision as aiding sources (with preprocessing).
