The Utsi GroundVue 3_8 GPR system can operate 1 to 8 channels simultaneously with a wide range of antenna frequencies and may be used as a handheld, on a cart or towed behind/beneath a vehicle at posted traffic speeds. Its high pulse repetition frequency coupled with unique stacking functions permit each channel to be recorded simultaneously without cross talk.
Description
The Utsi GroundVue 3_8 GPR system can operate 1 to 8 channels simultaneously with a wide range of antenna frequencies and may be used as a handheld, on a cart or towed behind/beneath a vehicle at posted traffic speeds.
Its high pulse repetition frequency coupled with unique stacking functions permit each channel to be recorded simultaneously without cross talk.
The depth for each individual channel is set independently permitting the operator to exercise complete control over data acquisition.
The system is modular and can therefore be adapted to any GPR application.
The user friendly interface and versatile display tools help an operator to quickly and easily analyse data in the field and implement quality control measures as required.
Groundvue data can be processed in a multitude of third party software packages including; ReflexW, GPR SLICE, GPRSoft and RoadDoctor.
This versatility makes it an ideal choice for civil and structural investigations, utility detection, for use in environmental or archaeological applications but also for security sweeps, road and bridge inspections, void detection and use on railway ballast.
The choice of antenna frequency ranges from 6GHz through 4GHz, 1.5GHz, 1GHz, and 400MHz down to 250MHz. In addition Crack Depth Detection Heads (CDHs) are also available in two frequencies: 3GHz and 1.5GHz.
As all channels are simultaneously triggered without cross talk between them, it is possible to use multiple receivers, at different offsets, alongside a single transmitter in order to assess transmission velocity.
The antennas chosen can be the same frequency if multiple transects are required or a combination of different frequencies if this is more useful to the investigation.
There are also 2 specialist adapted antennas for crack detection which can be used from the same system. These are adapted antennas optimised for the detection of vertically oriented anomalies instead of the more usual layer information of a traditional bistatic antenna.
GroundVue 3_8 complies with current ETSI (European) regulations on transmission and the equipment is CE marked to indicate this compliance.
