The SVS-603 can be used to replace existing sensors, to upgrade existing buoys, or to add
wave sensing capabilities to even the most compact buoys. Among the wave data that are available as outputs from the sensor are:

  • Heading in degrees
  • Significant wave height in meters (Hs)
  • Wave period in seconds
  • Wave direction in degrees from north
  • Maximum wave height (Hmax)
  • Wave period at Hmax
  • Full wave spectrum (raw or processed)
  • Custom outputs as required

Available as a bare circuit board or in the SVS-603ME marinized enclosure, a precision CNC machined 6061 air-craft grade billet aluminum enclosure with an anodized finish. The enclosure has been pressure proven to 550psi. The IP67 bulkhead connector is available either on the top surface or the side, depending on space constraints and per the IP67 rating is water-tight under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 meter (3 ft 3 in) of submersion). A 2m IP67 connector cable is also included.
