C-Astral Atlas C4EYE
Advanced Technology Light Acquisition System
The ATLAS C4EYE is the fixed-wing UAV/drone of choice for first responders and special operations forces in the under 3 kg category. Developed by C-ASTRAL X-WORKS after a decade of field experience in small UAS exploitation, this Bungee cord lunched, easy to operate, water-resistant system can carry an EYE-X HD stabilized multi-sensor gimbal while observing the target stealthily and silently for up to 1.5 hours.
Description
The new ATLAS C4EYE is an ideal system for use scenarios where the BRAMOR C4EYE is not suitable due to its footprint and the 3 hour endurance is not the primary consideration. The ATLAS C4EYE was developed with first responders, search and rescue and special forces in mind. Extremely compact, light and agile, the system is bungee assisted hand-launched and recovers easily and silently with a parachute and full payload safety. It can operate at temperature extremes, its modular construction enables fast in-field repairs and replacements and the system architecture is scalable to incorporate future sensor developments.
The ATLAS avionics suite is compatible with the BRAMOR family ground segments and C3P software and guidance solutions.
The vehicle is comprised of a blended wing body modular airframe, with the emphasis on the smallest possible takeoff weight, advanced aerodynamics, electric propulsion, completely autonomous operation, endurance, turbulent air penetration and stability, ergonomic and user-friendly ground control station, durability and mobility. The airframe is made of advanced composite materials (Kevlar/Carbon/Vectran) that provide a high level of survivability and a stealthy signature.
The system consists of the air vehicle with an EYE-X HD1 sensor and a rugged ground control station. The system is highly mobile and fits into a MILSPEC, rain resistant case or backpack. It is designed for fast deployment, flight-ready in less than three minutes and can be safely operated by a single operator/pilot in command.
* Flight endurance measured at ICAO standard atmosphere conditions (15 °C / 1013,25 hPa / winds calm), depends on UAS configuration/system weight.
