Description
Seatooth® SmartClamp is one of the latest generation of WFS Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices. SmartClamp is a smart, wireless Structural Monitoring System (SMS) for use on subsea structures. SmartClamp incorporates Seatooth wireless data processing and transmission platform offering short, medium and long range hybrid communication options.
ROV installable, the SmartClamp can be specified to fit different diameter braces and legs. It includes integrated strain, acceleration, pressure and temperature monitoring sensors to generate real-time fatigue/load data.
Multiple SmartClamps can be installed subsea to create a wireless network, transmitting information from any point through the air/water boundary to the topside receiver. Additional Seatooth devices can be added to the network at any time expanding the real-time information available.
Enhanced insight across multiple functions is enabled by integrated ExtremeEdge® computing. Advanced fatigue models can be run on the device providing real-time insight to the operator and optimising device lifespan. ExtremeEdge includes Low Power Management System, Data Analytics and a Machine Learning platform.
