Real-time kinematic (RTK) processing on a drone records GPS information and geotags images as they’re captured during flight.. With PPK the receiver stores all received satellite signals during an operation. This data can later be post processed with the help of reference data provided by base stations. This post processing procedure provides highly accurate position data without the use of ground control points.
