The R2Sonic Sonic 2020 Broadband-Wideband Multibeam Echosounders are a small-form, lightweight alternative to the technology-leading R2Sonic Sonic2024. While their size enables fast installation on even the smallest boats, R2Sonic Sonic 2020 multibeams still provide high performance marine data acquisition for diverse applications.

The R2Sonic Sonic 2020 Compact Broadband-Wideband Multibeam Echosounder is also available as a truly powerful package with the Integrated Inertial Navigation System I2NS™ Type I or II.
All Sonic Series multibeams feature an array of common functionality that sets them apart from the competition:
- Bottom detect resolution: 3mm
- User-selectable operating frequencies: 170kHz - 450kHz (apart from 2020). Can be changed “on the fly” in 1Hz increment
- 1024 independent soundings per ping
- Free firmware updates upgradable remotely
- Mounting hardware supplied with all multibeam sonars
- Agnostic to acquisition/data processing software
