Drifting Buoy
Surface Drifting Buoy
Description
The Drifting buoy is composed of buoy body ( sphere), high precision positioning module, data transmission and storage module, monitoring sensor and other components. The buoy body adopts spherical design to reduce the influence of water surface wind. The combination of ultra low power design circuit and solar charging board greatly prolongs its working online time. Its internal integrated flash LED light emitting lamp is convenient for night recycling. Drifting buoy built-in high-capacity data storage card, to ensure no loss of data at the same time, while the magnetic switch is designed to increase water tightness. The buoy is possible to load different sensors such as water temperature, conductivity, water quality and so on. The users can view the current buoy position and sensor acquisition parameters in real-time via the supporting software. The buoy has the functions of track playback, data export, KML trajectory derivation (compatible with Google Earth software). The users can change the sending interval, turn off or turn on the flash for a given buoy remotely via software menu. The Drifting buoy is widely used in ocean current research, oil spill tracking, marine meteorology, marine rescue and other fields.
