Conducting Overflights of the Facilities of Oil and Gas Producing Companies using UAVs Supercam

Having won the tenders, Unmanned Systems Group will continue conducting regular overflights of ZapSibTransGas LLC and Varyoganneftegas JSC facilities using unmanned aerial complexes Supercam.

To execute the works, unmanned aerial vehicles Supercam S350 are used, equipped with cameras, video cameras, thermal imagers, and gyro-stabilized television cameras. UAV’s modular architecture allows for quick and efficient changes of UAV payloads and aircraft equipment variations. UAV Supercam body (center section and wing panels) is made of a multilayer composite material which possesses high strength and elasticity and significantly prolongs the service life of the airframe.

With takeoff weight of up to 11.5 kg, Supercam S350 is capable to fly 4 h at a speed 65-120 km/h, at altitudes 50-4500 m, and at a distance of at least 240 km. Deployment time does not exceed 15 min.

The purpose of the overflights is to promptly identify fires and damages in the protected areas, and control of violations and damages of the pipelines themselves. Works on both projects will have been completed by December, 2017.

ZapSibTransGas LLC posesses more than 3,400 kilometers of oil and gas pipelines on the territory of Western Siberia. The company consists of three industrial directorates in Pyt-Yakh, Nizhnevartovsk and Noyabrsk.

The main activity of JSC Varyoganneftegas JSC is oil production in Western Siberia in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous district — Yugra. The company is one of the largest in the region.

Unmanned Systems Group has gained acceptance in many oil and gas producing companies: Rosneft, Gazpromneft and their subsidiaries, Salym Petroleum Development, and others.
